Descriere

  • Set buylist and sales prices for core Magic: The Gathering inventory within approved guidelines.
  • Assess the current pricing algorithm and compare its performance with realized margins.
  • Build, test, and roll out approved improvements to pricing algorithms.
  • Analyze marketplace data alongside internal sales, inventory, purchasing, and demand data to find pricing opportunities.
  • Maintain the hotlist selection process and monitor purchasing outcomes.
  • Spot pricing discrepancies across marketplaces and between sealed products and individual cards.
  • Evaluate whether inventory can be shifted between sales channels or opened and repackaged for profit.
  • Prepare quarterly margin and invested-capital reports by product class, set, and sales channel.
  • Present visual analyses and explain findings, assumptions, and recommendations to nontechnical colleagues and leaders.
  • Set practices for building, testing, documenting, and validating analytical models.
  • Work with pricing specialists, purchasing, data operations, and Technology.
  • Send weekly written updates on pricing and algorithm changes, outcomes, and priorities.

Cerințe

  • Work with large volumes of raw transactional data, build analytical models, test assumptions, and explain and defend findings.
  • Use modern data analysis and AI tools proficiently.
  • Create clear, effective data visualizations.
  • Understand the Magic: The Gathering secondary market and the factors that affect card prices.
  • Communicate clearly in writing.
  • Apply sound analytical judgment and close attention to detail.
  • Understand how pricing choices influence margins and inventory profitability.
  • Set priorities independently and take ownership of open-ended problems.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across specialties.
  • Learn the ERP and internal systems quickly.
  • Use English to communicate with stakeholders in other provinces and countries.
  • Preferred: education or experience in finance or a quantitative field.
  • Preferred: experience analyzing ERP, point-of-sale, or ecommerce data in retail.
