Principal Software Architect, Identity Resolution
Lead architecture for Acxiom’s enterprise identity resolution platforms, distributed systems, and data services. Shape solutions built with Java, Python, Scala, AWS, Spark, Snowflake, and Databricks.
Descriere
- Set architectural direction for enterprise identity resolution platforms and services
- Build systems for identity matching, entity resolution, identity graphs, record linkage, deduplication, and identity consolidation
- Create architectures that resolve identities across large, varied, and fast-changing datasets
- Design identity resolution solutions for both real-time and batch processing
- Establish approaches to confidence scoring, survivorship, source prioritization, identity linking, and identity lifecycle management
- Build and tune APIs and services for low latency, high throughput, and high availability
- Architect distributed applications and services in Java, Python, and Scala
- Design large-scale Apache Spark processing pipelines and platforms
- Develop and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and Databricks
- Create efficient data models and SQL solutions for transactional, analytical, and identity resolution workloads
- Set strategies for caching, concurrency, partitioning, indexing, persistence, and data access
- Define cloud-native AWS architectures and integrations spanning AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, internal applications, APIs, and external data providers
- Assess technologies, frameworks, databases, processing engines, and architectural options
- Set engineering standards for application and data architecture, APIs, distributed processing, security, observability, testing, and software development
- Work with engineering teams to turn architectural designs into scalable, maintainable systems
- Guide technical decisions and help solve performance, scalability, and design problems
- Review architectures and technical designs
- Find bottlenecks and guide improvements to APIs, applications, Spark workloads, SQL queries, and distributed systems
- Define approaches to resilience, fault tolerance, high availability, disaster recovery, and operational monitoring
- Coordinate with engineering, data engineering, product, security, infrastructure, and business partners
- Mentor senior engineers, technical leads, and architects
- Keep up with developments in identity resolution, distributed systems, cloud computing, data platforms, and software architecture
Cerințe
- At least 10 years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial work designing complex enterprise systems
- Experience as an Architect, Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, or comparable senior technical leader
- In-depth experience designing and building identity resolution, entity resolution, identity graph, Customer 360, Master Data Management, or similar systems
- Strong command of Java, Python, and Scala
- Extensive Apache Spark experience covering architecture, optimization, partitioning, distributed execution, performance tuning, and large-scale processing
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, relational data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Experience designing REST APIs, microservices, distributed applications, and high-throughput backend services
- Experience designing and improving low-latency APIs
- Strong grounding in distributed systems, including concurrency, caching, partitioning, consistency, resilience, scalability, and fault tolerance
- Extensive AWS and cloud-native application architecture experience
- Substantial experience with Snowflake and Databricks
- Experience architecting systems across application, API, distributed processing, data, and cloud infrastructure layers
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, API design, data structures, algorithms, and application performance
- Experience with current CI/CD practices, automated testing, source control, and production software delivery
- Strong understanding of security, privacy, authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills
- Preferred: experience with graph databases, probabilistic or machine learning-based matching, event-driven and streaming architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, multi-region architectures, enterprise architecture standards, legacy modernization, and large-scale identity datasets
