Principal Infrastructure Engineer, Platform

Descriere

  • Design and implement virtualisation solutions for AI-native workloads and HPC, including hypervisor tuning
  • Build resilient infrastructure that scales storage and networking with customer demand
  • Lead bare-metal hardware lifecycle management, provisioning, orchestration, and optimisation
  • Maintain secure, high-performing Unix and Linux environments at scale
  • Design and deliver high-performance cloud-native storage and networking
  • Apply expertise in networking protocols and software-defined networking
  • Deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
  • Design CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure delivery and reliable global operations
  • Secure Kubernetes with RBAC, network policies, admission controllers, and related tools
  • Manage cluster secrets and their rotation
  • Strengthen software supply-chain security with image scanning, signed artifacts, and provenance attestations
  • Design IAM and least-privilege controls for infrastructure and cloud control planes
  • Build pipelines for logs, metrics, and tracing
  • Develop automation frameworks with Terraform, Ansible, Go, and Python
  • Assess emerging technologies and prepare high- and low-level architecture proposals
  • Work with engineering and product teams across functions
  • Guide architecture practice and mentor colleagues
  • Partner with engineering leaders and stakeholders on infrastructure initiatives

Cerințe

  • Experience designing infrastructure architectures and solutions, including writing detailed technical proposals
  • A record of evaluating and adopting new tools and technologies
  • Extensive experience with large-scale global infrastructure, especially AI-native, HPC, and cloud-native environments
  • Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes fundamentals, container networking (CNI), and service mesh technologies
  • Deep understanding of virtualisation and hypervisors for high-performance workloads
  • Strong knowledge of TCP, UDP, DNS, BGP, and software-defined networking
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Practical coding experience in Go, Python, or similar languages for automation
  • Working knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing systems
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to write clear, concise infrastructure documentation
  • Desirable experience with AI/ML workloads, GPU-accelerated systems, HPC infrastructure, GPU partitioning with MIG, NVIDIA GPU Operator, InfiniBand, RoCEv2, GPUDirect, Ceph, parallel filesystems, hybrid cloud, edge computing, or agile architecture leadership
