Principal Forward Deployed Engineer at Broadcom (Remote, United States)
Lead enterprise Kubernetes, infrastructure, and AI platform modernization for Broadcom customers. Drive migrations, production engineering, and roadmap direction across complex deployments.
Descriere
- Act as a senior technical authority, enterprise strategist, and field-to-engineering leader within the Infrastructure Software Division
- Work directly with major enterprise accounts on platform modernization, bare-metal replatforming, stateful workload migration, and AI inference deployments
- Connect core engineering, product management, executive leadership, and C-level customer architects
- Architect, scale, and validate production VKS and VCF topologies for mission-critical and regulated environments
- Build and deploy real-time LLM inference systems, RAG pipelines, and distributed AI runtimes across GPU clusters
- Direct end-to-end migrations from legacy bare-metal systems and AI workloads to cloud-native Kubernetes platforms
- Develop prototype integrations, production operators and CRDs, and upstream contributions for core ISG codebases
- Convert customer challenges and field trends into product requirements and roadmap priorities
- Create technical patterns for containerizing, tuning, and orchestrating distributed systems, data platforms, and AI engines
- Set cross-platform integration strategies across competing enterprise distributions
- Define deployment standards, GitOps frameworks, and CAPI and Operator patterns for the FDE organization
- Mentor Senior and Staff Forward Deployed Engineers
Cerințe
- At least 10 years of software engineering experience, including 5 or more years leading high-consequence infrastructure, distributed systems, AI platform, or large-scale Kubernetes architecture
- Demonstrated ability to earn C-suite technical trust while continuing to contribute hands-on production code
- Expert command of Kubernetes internals, CRDs, Operators, Cluster API, and GitOps architectures including ArgoCD and Flux
- Extensive experience designing high-throughput AI inference pipelines, virtualized NVIDIA GPU environments, model-serving frameworks such as vLLM, TGI, and Triton, and distributed inference topologies
- Proven experience architecting and operating high-throughput, low-latency stateful workloads on Kubernetes
- Deep experience moving complex enterprise monoliths, mainframe or bare-metal environments, and isolated AI hardware deployments to zero-downtime cloud-native platforms
- Hands-on Go, Python, or Java development for systems infrastructure, Kubernetes controllers, custom AI wrappers, or automation frameworks
- Broad technical fluency across OpenShift, EKS, GKE, AKS, Rancher RKE or RKS, CSI and CNI, RDMA, InfiniBand, RoCEv2, and storage abstractions
- A bachelor's degree is preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree
- At least 17 years of related experience is required
