Azure Operations Architect – Romania (Remote)

Skaylink is seeking an Azure Operations Architect to design secure hybrid platforms and advise German enterprise customers. The role leads architecture, operations, and technical escalations from Romania on a remote, full-time basis.

Descriere

  • Lead Azure and hybrid platform architecture across landing zones, networking, identity, security, resilience, and recovery.
  • Guide customers on architecture, cost optimization, roadmaps, and technical decisions across the platform lifecycle.
  • Manage complex escalations and major incidents, using root-cause analysis to deliver lasting architectural improvements.
  • Design hybrid environments spanning Azure, VMware/Hyper-V, Windows Server, Azure Arc/Azure Local, and hybrid identity and networking.
  • Establish and review Infrastructure as Code, automation, reference architectures, and operational standards with engineering and service teams.
  • Serve as the senior technical point of reference for the Romanian team.
  • Contribute to customer workshops, presales activities, and operational transitions.

Cerințe

  • At least five years of experience in Azure architecture and operations, including production environments.
  • Strong hybrid IT background with VMware/Hyper-V, Windows Server, Azure Arc/Azure Local, networking, and Entra ID.
  • Solid understanding of Azure landing zones, security, governance, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation using Bicep or Terraform, plus Azure DevOps or GitHub.
  • Background in managed services and customer advisory, including technical workshops, complex issue resolution, and engineer mentoring.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Availability to start work at approximately 06:00 EET.
  • Availability to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to Germany.
  • German language skills at B2 level or higher are an advantage.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, Copilot, Power Platform, FinOps, Azure Virtual Desktop, or Entra Global Secure Access is advantageous.
  • Certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-104, AZ-802, SC-300, or SC-500 are advantageous.
