Descriere

  • Direct daily general ledger operations and accounting for all community associations.
  • Oversee receivables, payables, cash reconciliations, fixed assets, and other general ledger activity.
  • Prepare monthly GAAP financial statements for the associations and present results to their boards.
  • Ensure accurate, timely billing, cash application, and vendor payments.
  • Guide and review the work of accounts payable and receivable specialists.
  • Address complex accounting matters.
  • Approve weekly accounts payable invoices against HOA budgets.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel and board members about owners with accounts in collections.
  • Review staff accountants’ journal entries, including depreciation and amortization.
  • Check quarterly financial statements, balance sheets, and cash reconciliations for GAAP compliance.
  • Complete complex account reconciliations.
  • Coordinate audit requests and contribute to the consolidated audit process.
  • Present quarterly financial reports and annual budgets at board meetings.
  • Oversee finance committees for all associations.
  • Lead annual budgeting, reserve updates, and related budget requirements.
  • Administer reserve funds and track certificate of deposit expiration dates.
  • Coordinate and review resale requests.
  • Oversee income tax return preparation and review business and occupation tax filings.
  • Guide the team through oversight, feedback, and performance reviews.
  • Improve accounting efficiency, accuracy, and service to customers.
  • Answer questions from owners, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Work with operations teams on insurance, snow removal, reserve spending, and other key matters.
  • Manage monthly financial reporting and billing for the management company.
  • Provide accounting, reconciliation, and review support to corporate and development businesses as assigned.
  • Handle other duties as needed.

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Four to six years of accounting experience in roles of increasing complexity.
  • Prior audit and account reconciliation experience.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Interest in developing team members and taking ownership of association finances.
  • Effective time management and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Comfort learning new technology and training others.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to use a ten-key keypad by touch.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
