It partners with transportation networks to move surplus food to food banks and communities in need across the United States and Canada, helping address food insecurity while reducing food waste. Its programs include food recovery, food drives, and corporate social responsibility and team-building events.

Experiential Events Manager, Move For Hunger (Remote)

Lead conferences, fundraisers, food drives, and activations for Move For Hunger. Build partnerships, generate revenue, and expand hunger-relief programs.

  • Create engaging experiences that raise awareness of hunger and encourage participation
  • Deliver conference activations, ticketed events, food drives, and virtual fundraisers
  • Report to the Director of Corporate Engagement
  • Work across Marketing, Partnerships, and Operations
  • Plan and deliver conference activations such as booth experiences, packing events, food drives, and truck pulls
  • Negotiate with vendors and oversee event materials, signage, shipping, staffing schedules, and partner coordination
  • Lead on-site setup, event delivery, and breakdown as the primary live-event contact
  • Prepare detailed event run-of-show documents
  • Partner with Marketing and Development to communicate the organization’s mission
  • Lead ticketed and sponsored receptions, fundraisers, and industry events
  • Oversee sponsor commitments, vendors, and timelines to achieve revenue, engagement, and impact goals
  • Plan virtual events, webinars, and digital activations
  • Find prospective conferences and pitch event organizers
  • Build relationships with conference hosts, sponsors, and corporate partners
  • Act as the primary contact for event-hosting and sponsoring partners
  • Coordinate corporate food drives and community events with food bank and transportation partners
  • Manage event materials and reporting, and help ensure donations reach people in need
  • Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers
  • Recruit and supervise interns, offering direction and feedback

Reikalavimai

  • Bachelor’s degree in event management, communications, nonprofit management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in event planning, experiential marketing, conferences, or nonprofit events
  • Experience coordinating complex logistics, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers across multiple concurrent events
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and delivering events on-site
  • Willingness to travel 25–40% for conferences and events
  • Must be based in the United States; role is fully remote
  • Availability during core hours, Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM ET
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for event materials and setup
