Aprašymas

  • Lead the Design function at Rev and take accountability for its work.
  • Set the product design vision, expectations, standards, and customer experience quality.
  • Define standards for interaction design, visual craft, usability, accessibility, and consistency.
  • Bring work from different teams together into a coherent product experience.
  • Work with Product and Engineering leaders to identify and address customer friction.
  • Build customer conversations, workflow observation, discovery, and usability testing into the process.
  • Turn customer research into priorities and design decisions, then assess the impact of released improvements.
  • Involve product managers and engineers directly in customer learning.
  • Lead high-impact design work from defining the problem through exploration, prototyping, implementation, launch, and iteration.
  • Support the current designer through collaboration, feedback, coaching, and clear expectations.
  • Run design reviews with Design, Product, Engineering, and Build leaders.
  • Bring disagreements to the surface, clarify tradeoffs, resolve conflicts, and help teams reach decisions.
  • Improve design systems, shared components, patterns, and ways of working.
  • Set considered approaches to uncertainty, transparency, user control, correction, and recovery in AI experiences.
  • Find practical ways to use AI for research synthesis, exploration, prototyping, and iteration.
  • Raise customer experience quality and lead the design discipline through vision, craft, coaching, and accountability.

  • A record of leading design for complex products, owning design quality, and shaping direction beyond individual projects.
  • Exceptional design judgment shown in recently shipped work with strong interaction design, visual craft, and customer impact.
  • Ability to express a compelling design vision and turn it into standards, priorities, and shipped experiences.
  • Strong hands-on design skills, including Figma proficiency and modern prototyping methods.
  • Readiness to take on critical design problems personally.
  • Strong customer curiosity and experience with direct research, usability testing, product data, decision-making, and iteration.
  • Experience improving others’ work through coaching, critique, and clear expectations.
  • Comfort with design reviews, feedback, unfinished ideas, explaining rationale, and changing course based on evidence.
  • Strong working relationships with Product and Engineering leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts.
  • Experience creating or improving design systems, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Practical experience designing AI-powered products and using AI in design work.
  • Based in Austin and able to work regularly in person with the Build team and senior leaders.
  • Preferred: experience with AI products, B2B SaaS, legal technology, media workflows, speech technology, or conversational intelligence.
  • Preferred: familiarity with AI-enabled design or prototyping tools, GitHub, AI-assisted development tools, Linear or similar, Mixpanel or similar, and fast-paced startups.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred.
