Audit Support Specialist, CCDF Programs

Coordinate audits and assess compliance for federal child-care programs, including CCDF grants. Prepare analyses, briefings, and recommendations for FM Talent’s government clients.

  • Coordinate CCDF audit reviews with OCC, grants management, and ACF/HHS stakeholders, tracking audit findings and data reports.
  • Assess compliance, program performance, and disallowances by reviewing audits against CCDF administration.
  • Oversee single independent audits and Office of Inspector General (OIG) audits.
  • Review audit results, monitor OCC recommendations and lead agency actions, and analyze grantee plans, data, studies, reports, and improper payment findings.
  • Help evaluate grantee compliance with program requirements and performance standards.
  • Monitor grantees’ adherence to CCDF requirements and implementation of their CCDF plans.
  • Help respond to inquiries and information requests from the OIG and Government Accountability Office (GAO).
  • Track and analyze CCDF single audits, state plans, grantee data, disallowances, oversight reports, and technical assistance contractor reports.
  • Identify program trends, achievements, effective practices, gaps, and concerns.
  • Help oversee program and fiscal compliance with federal laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Prepare position papers, briefing materials, data fact sheets, and other child-care program documents.
  • Develop options and recommendations to support effective child-care programs.
  • Prepare and deliver oral briefings or presentations on CCDF audit issues.
  • Contribute to agency initiatives and projects, including cross-functional work across OCC divisions.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with CCDF program staff, federal agencies, and non-federal partners.
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned.

Reikalavimai

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, public policy, auditing, or a related field.
  • Five years of professional experience in audit support or coordination, federal grants oversight, financial compliance, monitoring, accountability, or government program analysis or integrity at the federal or state level.
  • Knowledge of or experience with CCDF, OHS, or another federal grant program is highly preferred.
  • Experience reviewing or analyzing Single Audits, or supporting audits and related documentation under federal funding requirements.
  • Experience supporting compliance with federal laws, policies, regulations, and grant requirements, including tracking findings, recommendations, and corrective action plans.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and writing skills, including preparing reports, briefings, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate across internal divisions and with external partners in a remote or distributed work environment.
