Lead U.S. accounting, tax compliance, audits, and financial reporting for Rising Edge Group, a high-voltage electrical infrastructure contractor. Build the U.S. finance team and provide financial insight to support executive decisions.

Lead accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, audit coordination, regulatory compliance, and U.S. tax activities
Work with the Canadian Financial Controller to maintain accurate financial information and compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulations
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
Prepare and review financial statements under U.S. GAAP and company policies
Maintain the accuracy and completeness of general ledger activity, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Interpret financial results and explain variances, trends, and key performance indicators
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning
Act as the primary auditor contact and coordinate audits and reviews
Coordinate audit requests and supporting documentation
Track and resolve audit findings and control deficiencies
Maintain documentation and evidence supporting compliance
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local financial reporting requirements
Monitor accounting standards and regulatory developments and evaluate their business impact
Oversee statutory records and regulatory filings
Manage U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance processes and filings
Work with external tax advisors on tax reporting and planning
Ensure accurate tax accounting, provisions, and supporting schedules
Assist with tax audits and regulatory inquiries
Develop the U.S. team to support business growth
Lead, coach, and develop accounting and finance professionals
Advise business leaders on financial matters and support decision-making
Advance process improvements, automation, and finance best practices
Contribute to special projects as needed

Талаптар

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required
CPA designation strongly preferred
Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is a plus
At least eight years of progressive accounting and finance experience
At least three years of experience leading accounting or finance teams
Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, external audits, and regulatory compliance
Experience managing U.S. tax compliance and partnering with external tax advisors
Experience in a multi-entity or complex business environment preferred
Public accounting experience is desirable
Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Strong understanding of internal controls and audit requirements
Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
Experience with ERP systems; Vista by Viewpoint preferred
Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
Experience with financial reporting and consolidation systems preferred
Strong leadership and people management capabilities
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High integrity, professionalism, and accountability
Ability to collaborate across functions and with senior leadership
