- Oversee hiring, succession planning, and performance management
- Direct execution and delivery across all engineering teams

- Remove organisational barriers and increase developer velocity through performance data
- Maintain scalable, resilient, and sustainable production systems
- Set standards for code quality, testing, DevOps, and security infrastructure
- Manage technical debt, optimisation initiatives, and platform health
- Work with Product, Design, QA, and Production leaders to achieve business outcomes
- Present complex technical issues as clear recommendations for executives
- Apply technology insight and industry developments to shape company strategy

- At least 10 years of software engineering experience, including 5 or more years in engineering leadership
- Demonstrated success leading multiple engineering teams and managers
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, cloud platforms, DevOps, and current development practices
- History of delivering complex products at scale
- Experience defining engineering KPIs, delivery metrics, and quality standards
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and strategic planning abilities
- Experience overseeing budgets, hiring plans, and organisational development
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Background in gaming, digital products, or SaaS
- Experience scaling organisations during periods of rapid growth
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and platform modernisation
- Experience managing distributed or international engineering teams
