- Automate recurring infrastructure and security tasks with scripting languages and automation tools
- Handle backups, patch management, maintenance, and system performance monitoring
- Contribute to requirements analysis, risk assessments, and agile user stories
- Manage configuration and releases for virtual machines and cloud-based services
- Document system changes, technical issues, and development activities
- Work with stakeholders on requirements, detailed designs, capacity planning, and issue resolution
- Improve infrastructure performance while following security frameworks and secure coding practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field, or three years of systems and infrastructure engineering experience at a technology, retail, or data-driven company
- Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure design, software architecture, distributed systems, and scalability
- Strong understanding of security controls, frameworks, and compliance requirements for information and infrastructure security
- Experience using automation tools and scripting languages such as Python
- Familiarity with configuration and release management in cloud and virtualized environments
- Ability to evaluate business and technical requirements for solution design and capacity planning
- Proficiency with coding standards, secure development practices, and code management tools
- Ability to resolve technical issues effectively
