Supply Chain Operations Associate - Arlington TX Onsite

Manage supplier schedules, material availability, inventory controls, and transportation coordination for Ryder’s logistics operations. Support General Motors manufacturing continuity at the Arlington, Texas site.

Description

  • Track purchased parts to confirm shipment timing and on-time delivery for production needs.
  • Act as the primary supplier contact, providing guidance on shipping schedules and containment plans.
  • Adjust supplier material timing by deferring, advancing, or expediting shipments according to plant inventory coverage.
  • Monitor critical parts and create and implement containment plans to help prevent manufacturing line disruptions.
  • Arrange alternative material sources and spot purchases when required.
  • Monitor, schedule, and cancel material pickup truckloads as production schedules change.
  • Maintain adequate material coverage while minimizing customer costs.
  • Compare part buffers with build requirements for Metal Centers and Powertrain operations.
  • Record and administer S and AV code exceptions, including Alarm Interval maintenance.
  • Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Keep MGO inventory records accurate and make necessary adjustments.
  • Review and process inventory adjustment requests carried over from the prior shift.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • At least one year of administrative experience is preferred.
  • At least one year of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MGO, General Motors’ MRP system, is preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of transportation management is preferred.
  • Intermediate understanding of material flow in manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Adaptability and self-motivation in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong multitasking, organization, and time-management abilities.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Availability for a flexible work schedule.
  • Willingness to work Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays or six-day workweeks as needed.
