Stryker Joint Replacement Sales Representative - Bristol

Field-based sales role with Stryker covering Bristol, Bath, Taunton, and Somerset. Grow Joint Replacement medical technology sales by developing surgeon relationships, supporting theatre procedures, and delivering product training.

Description

  • Achieve sales objectives and territory targets
  • Represent Stryker as a leader in the industry and marketplace
  • Build and sustain relationships with surgeons, healthcare professionals, and payers
  • Manage a high-volume workload while expanding the market
  • Apply cross-divisional strategies to win new business
  • Increase Stryker’s market share in Joint Replacement products
  • Meet existing customers and develop business plans addressing their challenges and opportunities
  • Engage prospective customers through presentations and discussions about Stryker’s philosophy and product benefits
  • Meet all hip and knee replacement surgeons in the territory within the first six months
  • Build expert-level knowledge of Orthopaedics products
  • Lead joint replacement procedures in theatre and provide continuing staff training
  • Create and deliver a territory business plan aligned with corporate strategy
  • Maintain an annual Individual Development Plan
  • Work across franchises with Stryker colleagues to maximise opportunities and strengthen customer relationships

Requirements

  • At least two years of sales experience, preferably in medical sales
  • Orthopaedic experience preferred; joint replacement experience is an advantage
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of budget and cost considerations in theatres and surgical procedures
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to present using contemporary presentation media
  • Skills in workshops, product demonstrations, and training
  • Good working knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Ability to create business plans with daily, weekly, and monthly objectives
  • Ability to build rapport and apply relationship-based selling
  • Ability to engage healthcare professionals, theatre staff, managers, and C-suite stakeholders
  • Collaborative approach with colleagues and customers
  • Self-disciplined, focused, and organised working style
  • Proactive and internally motivated to achieve results
  • Strong sense of responsibility and integrity
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure
  • Ability to prioritise, respond quickly to changing needs, be available at short notice, and travel

  • Willingness and ability to complete JR101 within the first six weeks and JR201 within the first 12 months
