Statistical Programmer, Clinical Trials — ICON plc (Tokyo Hybrid)

Develop and validate SAS, R, and Python programs supporting clinical-trial data analysis and reporting at ICON plc. Partner with biostatistics and clinical teams on regulatory documentation and treatment-development activities.

Description

  • Create, validate, and maintain SAS, R, or comparable statistical programs for clinical-trial data processing, analysis, and reporting
  • Work with biostatisticians and clinical teams to clarify project needs and implement statistical analyses accurately
  • Draft and review statistical analysis plans and programming specifications in line with regulatory expectations
  • Maintain data quality and comply with applicable industry standards, including ICH/GCP guidelines, throughout programming activities
  • Contribute to clinical study reports and other materials submitted to regulatory authorities
  • Produce high-quality statistical programming deliverables in collaboration with project stakeholders and colleagues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field
  • Demonstrated clinical-research experience as a statistical programmer, including a strong understanding of statistical methods
  • Working knowledge of SAS, R, or Python and experience with clinical data management systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, careful attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently or collaboratively
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain complex statistical topics to non-technical stakeholders
  • Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is located
