Staff Distributor Operations Manager

Lead distributor operations at Emerson by strengthening partner relationships, improving sales efficiency, and supporting account management, analytics, CRM processes, and continuous improvement.

Description

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts and attend regular meetings
  • Build and maintain strong operational relationships with partners
  • Collaborate as a trusted partner with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop relationships with procurement, accounts payable, buyers, and sales account representatives
  • Manage customer assets and entitlements, identify opportunities, and resolve roadblocks
  • Find opportunities for continuous improvement across the sales cycle
  • Work with Sellers to simplify and accelerate business closing processes
  • Support mentoring and training for peers and customers
  • Recommend on-demand technical and operational solutions for operational transactions
  • Create and deliver analytics aligned with partners’ priorities, evaluation criteria, and methodologies
  • Contribute to quarterly business reviews and scorecard assessments
  • Recommend purchasing and channel strategies
  • Resolve blockers and improve non-standard commercial terms and processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or communications field, or equivalent experience
  • Two to three years of experience in Shared Service Centers
  • Expertise in account management and differentiated account treatment strategies
  • Experience in a sales or operations function
  • Analytical, resourceful, and self-directed approach to problem solving
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience supporting field sales organizations, including CRM tools and processes
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments
  • Strong communication skills for providing clear, concise updates to varied audiences
  • Ability to build and influence effective relationships
  • Experience working across multiple geographies and functions
  • Advanced English proficiency (B2+) across reading, writing, and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of project management principles preferred
  • Previous sales experience preferred
