SQL Developer – Glastonbury, CT (Hybrid)

Develop SQL Server data warehouse and ETL solutions for aerospace and defense programs. Investigate defects, assess impacts, and support customer testing.

Description

  • Gather and clarify customer requirements with project managers and subject matter experts
  • Analyze root causes and downstream impacts for defects, data features, and dependencies
  • Design, build, test, and deploy SQL-based solutions
  • Create and maintain stored procedures for warehouse data extraction, transformation, and loading
  • Review and maintain table DDL and customer-facing data views
  • Write and run test scripts for customer, change request, system-level, and regression testing
  • Follow Agile SDLC practices and manage work through Jira
  • Communicate progress, risks, blockers, and metrics to program leadership and the Integrated Product Team
  • Promote compliance with Product Development Workflow and ORCA processes
  • Develop advanced SQL and T-SQL solutions in Microsoft SQL Server
  • Build stored procedures, views, tables, and other database objects
  • Maintain ETL and reporting capabilities within the data warehouse
  • Investigate data problems and deliver production-ready corrections
  • Use GitHub and Bash for source control
  • Support manual, exception, and regression testing with Zephyr and Tosca
  • Coordinate with teams responsible for SSIS and Databricks
  • Apply commercial aviation maintenance knowledge to identify requirements gaps, exceptions, regulatory issues, and production effects
  • Provide support for off-site testing at customer locations when needed

Requirements

  • Bring at least 1–2 years of experience developing complex SQL for ETL or reporting
  • Demonstrate the ability to create stored procedures, views, and tables in Microsoft SQL Server
  • Have experience with SQL/T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Be familiar with Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Have experience with, or familiarity with, Agile SDLC practices and tools including GitHub, Bash, Jira, and Zephyr
  • Use strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with customers
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Work effectively in fast-paced, changing settings, including customer test sites
  • Be able to work with U.S. ITAR-controlled data
  • Be willing and able to complete a background investigation and drug screening
  • Be a U.S. Person under 8 USC 1324b(a)(3), or otherwise authorized by the U.S. Government; company sponsorship is not offered
  • Preferred experience includes SSIS, Databricks, Tosca or comparable testing tools, D365 source data, data warehousing, and commercial aviation maintenance knowledge.
