Solutions Architect, Enterprise Integration — PortX (Texas Remote)

Description

  • Lead discovery, scope engagements, design solutions, and prepare estimates for integration work
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with customers throughout pre-sales and delivery
  • Uncover business challenges and translate them into solutions native to the PortX platform
  • Run customer workshops, architecture reviews, whiteboarding sessions, and executive presentations
  • Own Solutions Design Documents, architecture decision records, estimates, and definition-of-done criteria
  • Guide architecture across the integration lifecycle, from intake through go-live and handover
  • Apply fixed-price engineering patterns, reusable connectors, and configuration in place of custom code
  • Maintain ORCA contract fidelity and enforce platform conventions across implementations
  • Share findings and establish standards through the Architecture Review Council
  • Verify scope, requirements, and estimates before delivery commitments, and identify misaligned deals early
  • Mentor and coach PortX and customer development teams
  • Turn engagement work into reusable connectors, templates, mappings, patterns, and documented playbooks
  • Apply AI tools for code generation, specification-driven scaffolding, automated conformance scoring, and documentation
  • Improve integration patterns, delivery methods, estimation models, tooling, and documentation continuously
  • Lead hands-on technical spikes, reference implementations, and rescue efforts when required
  • Govern quality, review pull requests, and prototype while keeping delivery teams unblocked

Requirements

  • Demonstrated enterprise integration consulting and implementation experience with APIs, event-driven architecture, and integration platforms or iPaaS
  • Experience leading customer engagements, beyond implementing within them
  • Customer-facing capability in discovery, workshop facilitation, estimation, executive communication, and commercial scope management
  • Ability to read and review code, oversee quality, review pull requests, and build prototypes
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering, including code generation, agentic tools, and specification-to-code workflows
  • Working knowledge of containers, Kubernetes or GitOps-style deployment, and AWS
  • Experience with OpenAPI-first design, web service consumption and specification, Git, and standard build tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and time-management skills
  • Adaptability and responsiveness when priorities change or deadlines are tight
  • Confident customer-facing presence with the ability to build trust and engagement
  • US citizenship required
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Banking, credit union, or payments experience strongly preferred
  • Experience productizing service delivery through templates, SDKs, connector libraries, or fixed-price packaging strongly preferred
  • Experience establishing or operating architecture governance strongly preferred
