Description

  • Lead features through the full lifecycle, from initial concept to production release.
  • Contribute across gateway infrastructure, enterprise deployments, and agentic systems.
  • Develop backend and infrastructure capabilities, supporting the UI when needed.
  • Repair connectors identified during security reviews.
  • Define problems and make architecture, product, and user experience decisions.
  • Strengthen enterprise workflows and design connectors.
  • Safeguard security-sensitive systems and interfaces.
  • Review generated code and identify incorrect implementations.
  • Deliver quickly across flexible role boundaries.
  • Learn directly through collaboration with founders and customers.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience delivering software used by real users, including products, internal tools, open-source projects, or substantial side projects.
  • Strong software fundamentals and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
  • A product- and customer-oriented approach that values outcomes over technical purity.
  • Understanding of blast radius, trust boundaries, and security-sensitive infrastructure.
  • Ability to navigate unfamiliar code, reason from first principles, and communicate tradeoffs.
  • Experience with TypeScript, Python, and CockroachDB, or the ability to quickly learn new languages, protocols, and technical domains.
  • Interest in building with AI agents and recognizing when they clarify problems or conceal them.
  • Daily use of AI development tools and comfort working with limited process.
  • Experience with developer products, protocols or gateways, or infrastructure at scale is preferred.
  • Experience in security, identity, or permission systems is preferred.
  • Open-source, MCP server, or agentic framework contributions are preferred.
  • A strong design sensibility is preferred.
  • Willingness to work hybrid from the San Mateo or San Francisco offices three days per week.
  • Ability to address applicable United States immigration sponsorship requirements.
