Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Veepee, France (Hybrid)

Description

  • Apply DevOps practices to improve system reliability and scalability
  • Maintain and enhance Veepee’s Kubernetes infrastructure
  • Develop deployment and industrialization processes, including CI/CD, blue-green deployments, canary releases, and rollbacks
  • Automate the provisioning of resilient infrastructure aligned with product requirements
  • Partner with development teams to support frequent software releases
  • Keep services operational while investigating and resolving performance and scalability issues, including load testing current and historical deployments
  • Oversee the application portfolio in partnership with the Network Operations Center (NOC)
  • Administer access controls and security measures
  • Help evolve the information system and reduce technical debt
  • Promote DevOps best practices and help establish a cross-functional SRE community at Veepee
  • Contribute to the cross-functional SRE community while working within an agile product team
  • Support the Foundation Domain responsible for on-premise infrastructure

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in a comparable role
  • Experience supporting highly available production environments and participating in on-call rotations
  • Knowledge of industrialization processes, agile methodologies, Gitflow, general DevOps practices, and systems administration
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux
  • Hands-on proficiency with infrastructure as code using Packer, Terraform, and Ansible
  • Experience with Alerta, ELK, Prometheus, and Kubernetes Operators
  • Practical experience with Docker and on-premise Kubernetes, including Kubernetes the hard way
  • Proficiency with PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Elasticsearch
  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills
  • Experience with GitLab and Argo CD for CI/CD
  • Familiarity with Consul and Vault
