Senior Unity Engineer, C# — Remote in Ukraine
Build PlayQ’s newest mobile game as a senior Unity engineer, owning core systems, mobile optimization, and key technical decisions for a global audience.
Description
- Own core game systems and features from technical design through delivery
- Lead technical ownership across assigned areas and features
- Profile and optimize mobile performance, stability, memory use, and responsiveness
- Develop and refine game experiences for iOS and Android
- Resolve technical bottlenecks to improve quality, performance, and scalability
- Use AI tools for coding, debugging, research, documentation, and problem-solving
- Partner with the CTO, Product, and cross-functional teams to turn product and player needs into technical solutions
- Maintain clean, sustainable code while contributing to architecture, engineering practices, and processes
- Share expertise through knowledge sessions, code reviews, and mentorship when appropriate
- Adapt to shifting priorities while delivering high-quality features and releases on schedule
Requirements
- At least six years of professional game development experience, including shipped mobile games
- Advanced proficiency with Unity3D and C#
- Thorough knowledge of game development patterns, architecture, and engineering best practices
- Demonstrated experience building and optimizing Unity games for iOS and Android
- Strong track record of profiling and improving mobile game performance
- High ownership, with the ability to carry problems from discovery through implementation and delivery independently
- Practical, analytical approach to solving technical challenges
- Ability to work effectively amid changing priorities and requirements
- Everyday experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or comparable technologies
- Strong English communication skills and effective collaboration with technical and cross-functional partners
