Senior Systems Engineer – Queensland Remote

Senior Systems Engineer supporting enterprise storage solution sales for Everpure customers in Queensland, Australia. The role advises enterprise accounts, leads technical evaluations, and collaborates with sales and alliance teams.

Description

  • Drive enterprise prospect and customer adoption of Everpure solutions
  • Identify customer objectives and challenges, then develop creative proposals with alliance partners
  • Work with pre-sales, sales, partner sales, enablement, marketing, and leadership teams to expand the Everpure portfolio
  • Build detailed knowledge of Queensland customers’ businesses and purchasing factors
  • Relate technology solutions to measurable customer outcomes
  • Collaborate with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to increase revenue and win new business
  • Promote the value of Everpure solutions to customers and partners
  • Improve sales strategies and tactics while taking ownership of technical responsibilities
  • Provide technical direction and domain expertise across storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and DAS, NAS, and SAN solutions
  • Lead technical evaluations, benchmarking activities, and system configurations
  • Prepare and present technical product and architecture briefings for customers and prospects
  • Gather requirements and convert business needs into innovative technical solutions
  • Prepare responses to RFIs and RFPs
  • Lead interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation initiatives
  • Facilitate roadmap and planning discussions
  • Partner with product and technical marketing teams on whitepapers and web presentations
  • Assess competitors and maintain clear, differentiated solution positioning
  • Follow market developments and contribute to technology thought leadership
  • Travel regularly to meet customers, partners, and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • Pre-sales experience supporting customers in Queensland is required
  • At least five years of relevant experience spanning technology, design, and communications is required
  • Experience selling enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software solutions to enterprise accounts is preferred
  • Strong understanding of multi-tier client/server and web-based computing environments
  • Experience pursuing new prospects and converting them into clients
  • Experience contributing to or leading RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses
  • Advanced knowledge of storage architectures, including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN
  • Knowledge of Linux, NFS file systems, and distributed Linux networking environments
  • Experience installing and configuring distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory, storage subsystem, shared memory, cache, and windowing systems
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, on-premises and public cloud environments, provisioning automation, and containers
  • Knowledge of VMware, local area networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking principles
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or another technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with modern web architecture, including the LAMP stack, scale-out and scale-up architectures, the AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices
  • Experience with storage-intensive applications and structured databases such as SQL and Oracle is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform is a plus
  • Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures is a plus
  • Curiosity about technology and enthusiasm for explaining new platforms and concepts to customers
