Description
- Partner with data architects to implement data models and support reliable system integration
- Build ingestion pipelines that extract, transform, aggregate, and enrich data
- Apply governance practices that protect data quality, security, and regulatory compliance
- Create scalable, secure AWS and Snowflake pipelines that meet business needs and technical standards
- Develop data warehouse solutions with Python and Snowflake
- Reduce AWS and Snowflake costs through efficient architecture and expense monitoring
- Work across Development, Operations, and Business teams to coordinate integrations
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving Snowflake, Python, and AWS
- Deploy and monitor security and compliance controls
- Deliver analytics solutions using Python, AWS, and Snowflake
- Keep current with platform innovations, new capabilities, and engineering best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, data engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five to seven years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, AWS, and Python
- Strong knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, SNS, EMR, EC2, Athena, and CloudWatch
- Proficiency in Snowflake queries, data modeling, and performance tuning
- Experience with data warehousing principles, including modeling, ETL, and governance
- Working knowledge of ETL, ELT, and other data integration approaches
- Familiarity with analytics practices that maintain data quality and availability
- Advanced Python and PySpark knowledge
- Ability to work independently as a billable individual contributor
