Senior Software Engineer, AI Applications - Omnissa, Mountain View Hybrid

Build scalable AI applications for Omnissa’s digital work platform, including LLM-powered features, backend services, and distributed systems. Partner with AI/ML engineers to deliver reliable intelligent user experiences.

Description

  • Design, develop, and deliver AI-powered application features and services
  • Integrate LLM capabilities, automation workflows, and intelligent user experiences into applications
  • Develop backend services, APIs, and application logic that interact with AI/ML systems and models
  • Work with AI/ML engineers to bring models into production-ready applications
  • Build scalable, reliable distributed systems with strong performance and availability
  • Add observability, monitoring, and logging to AI-driven application components
  • Contribute to system design, architecture reviews, and code reviews
  • Improve system performance, reliability, and developer productivity
  • Track developments in LLMs, embeddings, and agent frameworks and apply them to product use cases
  • Lead engineering initiatives from inception through delivery while promoting ownership and engineering excellence

Requirements

  • Five to ten years of experience as a software engineer building scalable applications
  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Proficiency in at least one additional language: Java, Go, or C++
  • Experience developing backend systems, APIs, and microservice architectures
  • Experience building scalable services with REST or gRPC APIs
  • Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications, including LLM APIs or machine learning services
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Effective collaboration in Agile environments
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
