- Maintain the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical platforms and services
- Lead complex reliability programs and automate processes to reduce operational toil
- Apply observability, incident response, and distributed-systems expertise to diagnose and resolve reliability issues
- Design and deliver improvements to service availability, operational efficiency, and system recovery
- Maintain rigorous code-quality standards and identify risks or blockers early
- Partner with host-function stakeholders to align solutions with real operational workflows
- Enable effective handover and build internal capability so solutions remain owned and operable
- Develop monitoring queries and define service-level baselines
- Assist senior engineers during incident response
- Contribute to post-incident reviews and root-cause analyses
- Participate in disaster-recovery testing
- Build automation and run code in production environments
- Add to SRE knowledge documentation and operational guidance
- Support the deployment, monitoring, and reliability of services that integrate AI tools
- Maintain infrastructure topology diagrams and deployment workflows
- Validate service availability, reliability, and recoverability in non-production environments
Requirements
- Demonstrated advanced Terraform capability, including modules, providers, state management, lifecycle controls, drift detection, safe refactoring, remote state, locking, and cross-stack dependencies
- Hands-on experience operating production AWS environments across multiple accounts and regions
- Practical experience with ECS, RDS, ALB, VPC, IAM, Route 53, ECR, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, Secrets Manager, KMS, and CloudWatch
- Experience creating and troubleshooting reusable GitHub Actions workflows covering OIDC authentication, approval gates, runners, Terraform and application deployments, and migration pipelines
- Working knowledge of Docker, ECR, ECS task definitions and services, IAM roles, health checks, autoscaling, ALB integration, and deployment rollback procedures
- Proficiency in AWS networking and security, including VPCs, ALBs, Route 53, ACM/TLS, IAM, OIDC, Secrets Manager, KMS, and cloud-security best practices
- Incident-response and observability experience using logs, metrics, alarms, deployment history, root-cause analysis, rollback decisions, and operational runbooks
- Strong Linux and Git fundamentals
- Ability to write Bash and Python scripts for AWS CLI automation, CI/CD, and operational tooling
- Hands-on experience integrating and running AI services and APIs in production with appropriate monitoring, reliability, and security controls
- Ability to support multiple engineering teams, troubleshoot across infrastructure and application layers, document solutions, and enable secure self-service practices
