Senior Robotics Software Developer – Hybrid in Finland

Join GIM Robotics to build cloud-to-robot software for autonomous mobile robots. You will shape architectures, perception systems, and interfaces that help industrial machines operate autonomously.

Description

  • Design software and system architectures spanning cloud interfaces through low-level mobile-robot control
  • Build user interfaces for robots
  • Contribute to the development of perception systems
  • Create cloud-based software solutions
  • Analyze operational and application data
  • Help customer machines navigate and operate autonomously
  • Provide technical leadership when appropriate
  • Mentor and support colleagues
  • Spot improvement opportunities and contribute to implementation

Requirements

  • More than five years of professional software development experience
  • A demonstrated ability to design complex software architectures from the ground up
  • A university degree at M.Sc. level or above in robotics, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related discipline
  • Expert proficiency in C++
  • Expert proficiency in Python
  • Experience with TypeScript, ReactJS, Django, or comparable web development technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Git, Docker, and Linux
  • A readiness to learn and contribute across multiple disciplines
  • A genuine interest in autonomous mobile robotics
  • Familiarity with ROS or ROS2 is advantageous
  • Practical experience processing 3D point clouds and working with spatial data structures is advantageous
  • Experience building high-performance real-time software is advantageous
  • Hands-on experience with multi-sensor fusion is advantageous
  • Experience working in agile development environments is advantageous
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and software pipeline development is advantageous
  • Project management experience and direct customer-facing work are advantageous
