Senior .NET Backend Developer (Remote)

Build APIs, messaging systems, and event-driven microservices with .NET, Azure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD for a Brazilian technology company.

Description

  • Build and maintain messaging consumers with .NET and Azure Functions.
  • Create and maintain REST APIs and integrations between systems.
  • Operate within an event-driven microservices environment spanning multiple systems and integrations.
  • Support deployments and operations across Kubernetes clusters and Microsoft Azure resources.
  • Investigate dead-letter queue failures, messaging problems, and cross-system inconsistencies.
  • Connect systems through REST APIs and asynchronous events.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in distributed and production environments.
  • Troubleshoot Kubernetes pods, logs, scaling behavior, and rollbacks.
  • Work across interdependent microservices governed by complex business rules.
  • Contribute to CI/CD workflows and deployment processes.
  • Apply artificial intelligence tools throughout development for code generation, analysis, debugging, and automation.
  • Trace and debug end-to-end flows from events through consumers, external APIs, and databases.
  • Collaborate with teammates to evaluate and define technical solutions.

Requirements

  • Advanced professional experience with C# and .NET Core 6 or later.
  • Practical experience building REST APIs.
  • Working knowledge of Git, branching strategies, code reviews, and CI/CD.
  • Experience with SQL Server or another relational database.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests.
  • Hands-on use of AI tools for software development, such as KIRO or comparable tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, especially Azure Functions, Service Bus, Blob Storage, and Application Insights.
  • Practical Kubernetes experience covering deployments, pod diagnostics, scaling, rollbacks, and log analysis.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or comparable tooling.
  • Experience with messaging and event platforms such as Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, SQS, or equivalents.
  • Understanding of queues, topics, dead-letter queues, and retry policies.
  • Experience producing and consuming events with Kafka or an equivalent technology.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture concepts including idempotency, ordering, dead-letter queues, and replay.
  • Comfort working in distributed systems with numerous integrations.
  • Ability to independently diagnose and resolve production incidents.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboratively evaluating technical solutions.
  • Experience using Elasticsearch queries, aggregations, and indexes.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and OData APIs.
  • Experience building Docker images, using Docker Compose, and troubleshooting containers.
  • Knowledge of Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests.
  • Experience using feature flags for controlled rollouts.
  • Familiarity with observability platforms such as Application Insights, Grafana, Datadog, or similar tools.
  • Experience in the education or CRM domain.
  • Experience connecting legacy platforms with modern systems.
  • Experience configuring Kubernetes HPA, probes, and resource limits.
  • Experience with generative AI beyond coding assistants, including LLM pipeline integration, RAG, and embeddings.
