Senior IT Business Systems Analyst - GuideWell Source - Hybrid Florida

GuideWell Source seeks a senior IT business systems analyst to lead complex initiatives supporting Florida Blue, a health insurer. The role covers requirements, architecture, testing, implementation, and production support.

Description

  • Oversee complex project development, implementation, and testing as the functional and technical lead
  • Shape business architecture, capability roadmaps, and domain strategies
  • Lead requirements discovery and assess impacts on technical systems
  • Partner with developers and technical architects to define solution designs
  • Review and refine user stories and acceptance criteria with stakeholders
  • Take on product ownership responsibilities when needed
  • Create system documentation, including flowcharts, workflow tables, mappings, and integration specifications
  • Deliver training on business systems
  • Build deep knowledge of business functions and explain technical issues and solutions in accessible language
  • Develop detailed functional and non-functional requirements and user stories
  • Oversee user acceptance criteria, test plans, and test cases
  • Direct functional and user acceptance testing and secure stakeholder approval for changes
  • Track implementation progress, promote user satisfaction, and support delivered solutions
  • Manage operational readiness, implementation and warranty support, production support, project analytics, and reporting
  • Lead initiatives, review outcomes, train colleagues, and mentor other IT business systems analysts

Requirements

  • At least five years of relevant experience in application development or systems analysis
  • A related bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional experience in an IT field
  • Extensive knowledge of information technology disciplines and computer systems
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities
  • A solid understanding of integrations between assigned business systems and processes
  • Proven leadership skills in knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation, fairness, and assertiveness
  • Proficiency in requirements-gathering methods and the software development life cycle
  • Knowledge of architecture standards and their application in solution design
  • Ability to explain highly complex technical information clearly to varied audiences
  • Flexibility in a rapidly changing work environment
  • Strong critical-thinking skills for evaluating options and presenting solutions aligned with business strategy
  • Extensive knowledge of systems, subsystems, development methods, architecture, tools, and processes supporting assigned initiatives or systems
  • Experience using research methods to develop business solutions
  • Knowledge of systems development concepts and practices
  • Experience analyzing business requirements and processes
  • Experience balancing multiple priorities and facilitating changing priorities
  • Deep knowledge of the relevant business area and its organizational impact
  • Demonstrated negotiation ability and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to people with varied levels of knowledge
  • Preferred: experience with Agile methods
  • Preferred: experience in the healthcare industry
