Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, Rewards and Incentives

Build and operate rewards, incentives, and engagement experiences for Hinge Health’s digital healthcare platform. Own production software across React Native, Node.js, APIs, and data models.

Description

  • Build and operate full-stack features with JavaScript, TypeScript, React Native, NestJS, and Node.js
  • Lead projects from technical design through launch, measurement, iteration, and ongoing maintenance
  • Create tested APIs, data models, and mobile experiences for rewards and incentives
  • Turn product concepts into practical solutions while balancing member value, quality, simplicity, and delivery speed
  • Strengthen reliability through testing, observability, performance optimization, and production support
  • Help shape architecture, maintain technical documentation, review code, and reduce technical debt
  • Use Claude Code and other approved AI tools as part of the development workflow
  • Provide context, plan implementation, review generated changes critically, and verify behavior with tests and running code
  • Mentor teammates and help foster a collaborative engineering culture
  • Work with Product to define problems, shape roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and measure results
  • Collaborate with Design and User Experience to create clear, motivating member experiences
  • Work with Data and Analytics on experiments, member behavior analysis, and impact evaluation
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Platform, Quality, Security, Privacy, and Compliance teams to integrate services and deliver safe, dependable experiences

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
  • At least three years of full-time, non-internship professional software development experience
  • Background building and operating production software as a full-stack engineer
  • Strong skills in API design, data modeling, testing, debugging, and frontend development
  • Ability to take ownership of ambiguous problems and deliver practical solutions incrementally
  • Experience making technical decisions across service boundaries and clearly communicating trade-offs
  • Product-oriented approach with an interest in connecting engineering work to member needs and measurable outcomes
  • Clear communication and effective cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Sound judgment with AI coding tools, including providing context, reviewing generated code, and owning architecture, security, and maintainability
  • Experience training or fine-tuning machine-learning models preferred
  • Experience integrating hosted machine-learning models in the cloud preferred
  • Experience with rewards, incentives, gamification, engagement, or consumer products preferred
  • Experience in privacy-, security-, or compliance-sensitive environments preferred
