Senior FP&A Analyst - Montreal Hybrid

Description

  • Lead monthly financial reporting, annual budgeting, and forecasting for the income statement and cash flow.
  • Support monthly reporting for the executive team and Board of Directors.
  • Review budget-to-forecast variances with business stakeholders.
  • Develop analytical and management reports covering sales, customer revenue, performance, profitability, and project tracking.
  • Create month-end reports and dashboards featuring key SaaS metrics.
  • Track dashboards and operational performance indicators.
  • Handle ad hoc management requests and collaborate with business teams on projects.
  • Present findings clearly to stakeholders and help shape decisions through well-supported analysis.
  • Help improve processes connected to SOVRA’s financial systems.
  • Translate financial data into actionable insights for executives, the Board of Directors, and managers.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in FP&A, a comparable financial analyst position, or financial consulting.
  • Background in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Experience with rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and post-mortem reviews.
  • Experience modeling the income statement, cash flow, or SaaS metrics including ARR, MRR, churn rate, CAC, and LTV.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including INDEX-MATCH, multi-source data integration, and advanced analytical formulas.
  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to present reports to senior stakeholders and influence decisions without formal authority.
  • Fluency in both French and English.
  • University degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Must live in the Montreal, Quebec area and be available to work on-site during month-end and quarter-end close periods.
  • Authorization to work in Canada; SOVRA does not sponsor work visas or transfers.
  • CPA designation or equivalent is an asset but not required.
