Senior Flutter Mobile Developer

Build and release Flutter mobile applications at Imaginary Cloud, contributing to architecture, testing, CI/CD, and client-facing product delivery. The role covers end-to-end mobile development, deployment, and technical problem-solving.

Description

  • Build mobile applications with Flutter
  • Investigate technical problems and resolve complex bugs
  • Help shape and implement mobile application architecture
  • Collaborate with clients when needed to deliver successful products
  • Apply Agentic AI tools to speed up development, refactoring, and advanced debugging
  • Create and maintain mobile application CI/CD pipelines
  • Own mobile releases from certificates and provisioning profiles through Apple App Store and Google Play Store deployment

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in mobile development
  • At least three years of extensive, hands-on Flutter experience
  • Strong knowledge of Dart syntax, object-oriented programming, null safety, asynchronous programming with async/await, Future and Stream, generics, and extension methods
  • In-depth knowledge of Flutter, including widget trees, stateful and stateless widgets, custom widgets, keys, rendering, and efficient rebuild management
  • Practical experience with modern state management such as BLoC, Riverpod, or Provider, alongside scalable mobile architectures
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs with http or dio, including error handling, retries, and request interceptors
  • Experience implementing local persistence and caching with SQLite, Hive, Isar, or SharedPreferences
  • Ability to write well-structured code and substantial experience with Flutter unit, widget, and integration testing
  • Proven ability to build and maintain mobile CI/CD pipelines with Fastlane, Codemagic, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise
  • Hands-on ownership of mobile releases, including certificates, provisioning profiles, and deployment to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
  • Advanced proficiency with Agentic AI tools such as Cursor IDE and Claude Code
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Legal eligibility to live and work in Portugal
  • Nice to have: Kotlin or Java experience for Android and Swift or Objective-C experience for iOS, including MethodChannels and platform-specific integrations
