Description
- Set strategic and tactical direction for corporate systems and software.
- Align solution architectures with organizational priorities and objectives.
- Guide analysts, engineers, architects, and development teams on architectural decisions.
- Create and communicate architecture investment plans and cost-reduction opportunities.
- Assess emerging technologies and recommend flexible, cost-effective solutions.
- Design, develop, and oversee integrated end-to-end systems.
- Document current architectures and technology portfolios, then recommend enhancements.
- Verify system, procurement, and outsourcing designs against applicable standards.
- Gather and define complex business requirements with users, clients, and senior leaders.
- Represent business and system processes through use cases, workflows, and data models.
- Create and carry out infrastructure and system performance testing plans.
- Develop and oversee capacity plans for systems and solutions.
- Set and apply system and software standardization policies.
- Work with business leaders, product owners, and engineering teams to turn strategy into technology solutions.
- Lead discovery meetings and solution design workshops.
- Architect complete solutions spanning applications, integrations, cloud services, data platforms, and enterprise systems.
- Produce solution diagrams, architecture decision records, data-flow models, and technical documentation.
- Specify functional and non-functional needs for availability, scalability, performance, security, and resilience.
- Assess whether solutions should be built internally or purchased.
- Design Azure cloud solutions using API-driven, event-driven, and service-oriented architectures.
- Help establish reusable integration patterns and platform standards.
- Develop data-focused solutions and identify opportunities for AI, automation, and intelligent workflows.
- Support Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, and other AI-enabled technologies.
- Apply governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
- Contribute to architecture review boards and solution governance activities.
- Maintain architecture records and reference architectures.
- Guide architecture through delivery and mentor engineers and technical leads.
- Resolve complex technical issues and lead modernization initiatives.
Requirements
- Eight years of enterprise solutions architecture experience for the Consultant level.
- Six years of enterprise solutions architecture experience for the Senior level.
- A verified bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information management, or another technical discipline.
- Four years of equivalent technical experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree.
- Experience creating strategic systems and solutions architecture plans.
- Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements.
- Experience designing and developing systems, hardware, and networks.
- Strong knowledge of information processing principles and practices.
- Healthcare payer, healthcare technology, or other highly regulated industry experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare standards and integrations is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or comparable platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with TOGAF or a comparable architecture framework is preferred.
- Experience with AI-enabled solutions, automation, and enterprise modernization is preferred.
- Architecture credentials such as Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, or a cloud architect certification are preferred.
- Technical knowledge of systems software, protocols, standards, programming languages, development tools, software evaluation, project planning, data privacy, and applicable laws is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and complete work in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to collaborate with others and communicate information effectively.
- Ability to use computers and IT equipment.
- Ability to read computer displays and documents.
- Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods while working.
