- Act as the senior database architecture authority across designated client accounts and strategic programs
- Define enterprise database and data platform architecture strategies, roadmaps, and target states
- Lead major modernization, migration, consolidation, and cloud transformation initiatives
- Create and uphold database architecture standards, governance frameworks, design methods, and best practices
- Counsel executive leaders on database strategy, technology investments, risk, and transformation priorities
- Design secure, resilient, scalable, and automated database platforms for mission-critical workloads
- Collaborate with product, engineering, consulting, and sales teams to advance Ensono’s database services portfolio
- Direct technical due diligence, platform assessments, and architecture reviews for strategic opportunities
- Provide specialist guidance on database automation, AI-enabled operations, platform engineering, data modernization, containerized databases, and cloud-native architectures
- Strengthen strategic pursuits by developing differentiated database solutions and contributing to executive client presentations
- Build trusted relationships with C-suite executives, business leaders, and senior technology stakeholders
- Coach and develop Solution Architects, Database Architects, Consultants, and engineering professionals
- Advance operational excellence through innovation, automation, continuous improvement, and modernization
- Represent Ensono’s database expertise at industry events, client workshops, technical publications, and strategic engagements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related discipline
- At least 10 years of experience in database architecture, engineering, administration, or enterprise data platform leadership
- At least 7 years leading enterprise-scale database modernization and transformation programs
- Expert knowledge of cloud database services and one or more of Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, NoSQL platforms, or cloud-native database services
- Extensive experience architecting highly available, mission-critical database environments for large global enterprises
- Advanced expertise in database architecture, performance, scalability, security, governance, compliance, automation, and disaster recovery
- Demonstrated leadership of cloud transformation programs spanning Azure, AWS, and hybrid architectures
- Track record of working with executive stakeholders to connect technology strategy with business objectives
- Experience defining enterprise architecture standards, governance frameworks, reference architectures, and best practices
- Strong knowledge of application architecture, infrastructure platforms, networking, security, and DevOps principles
- Ability to lead complex programs across multiple teams, stakeholders, technologies, and business units
- Outstanding communication, consulting, facilitation, and executive presentation capabilities
