Senior Data Engineer – Remote in Lithuania

Description

  • Design and enhance data ingestion, processing, storage, and sharing across AWS cloud and legacy data warehouse environments within a Data Mesh platform.
  • Develop and optimize ETL and ELT pipelines and data architectures with Airflow, dbt, and SAP Data Services.
  • Help migrate and modernize legacy data systems toward cloud-native architecture.
  • Maintain strong data quality, security, and performance across data workflows.
  • Work with analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews, establish monitoring and alerting, and fix data pipeline issues.
  • Join the EOD ROTA rotation and remain available for incident resolution until 23:00–24:00.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated practical experience using SQL and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Working knowledge of pipeline orchestration and transformation tools such as Airflow or dbt.
  • Experience with enterprise data platforms including Oracle Database, SAP IQ, SAP Data Services, and SAP Business Objects.
  • Understanding of real-time, message-based, and event-driven integrations, including connections between legacy and modern data platforms.
  • Familiarity with test automation and DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code, security, CI/CD, and SDLC principles.
  • Experience delivering Data Products and applying Medallion and Data Mesh architectures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Citizenship of a Baltic state or Poland.
