Description

  • Oversee a portfolio of captive insurance clients and provide supervisory guidance
  • Track completion of client services, deliverables, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Manage communications with senior captive owners, service providers, and regulators
  • Act as a director, officer, or equivalent representative for captive insurance clients when requested
  • Assign, supervise, and review work completed by Account Administrators and Coordinators
  • Engage in industry association activities and professional networking
  • Oversee services for complex captive insurance companies while serving as the primary client contact
  • Provide peer review and professional guidance to team members
  • Lead staff development, training, and performance evaluation activities
  • Support hiring activities as needed
  • Participate in fee renewal discussions and related client communications
  • Address non-routine client needs, including business plan revisions, financial pro formas, and analysis of proposed agreements
  • Present materials to client boards and committees
  • Build captive insurance expertise through industry media, seminars, and other learning resources
  • Serve on committees and boards of industry associations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
  • Prior captive insurance experience is required
  • CPA, equivalent qualification such as Chartered Accountant, or active CPA candidacy
  • Experience preparing financial statements under GAAP or comparable accounting experience
  • Ability to collaborate effectively while also working independently to meet deadlines and client or team needs
  • Strong analytical judgment and the ability to complete assignments independently
  • Highly developed organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication
  • Fluency in English and Japanese is required for positions based in Honolulu
