Senior Business Intelligence Integration Developer

Lead business intelligence integration, data pipelines, warehousing, and reporting solutions for Trillium Health Partners. Provide Microsoft BI architecture, technical oversight, and delivery leadership across hospital data systems.

Description

  • Set technical direction, standards, quality controls, and subject-matter expertise for business intelligence projects
  • Oversee integration of data from multiple sources, including transformation and cleansing
  • Define data models and schemas that support efficient data storage and retrieval
  • Design and build pipelines to extract, transform, cleanse, and load data
  • Improve data-processing performance through indexing, partitioning, and clustering
  • Design, develop, and deploy business intelligence infrastructure and analytical reporting tools
  • Maintain logical and physical architecture for enterprise data systems
  • Build, deploy, monitor, and maintain integrated databases in line with industry standards
  • Resolve technical issues and support BI teams and stakeholders
  • Prepare functional specifications, technical specifications, and user documentation
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and design integrated BI solutions
  • Maintain data accuracy, accessibility, security, and usefulness for informed decision-making
  • Encourage collaboration, share best practices, advance innovation, coach colleagues, and escalate issues promptly
  • Report jointly to the Director of Business Intelligence and Data Governance and the Manager of Cogito and Business Intelligence

Requirements

  • A university degree in Computer Science, Management, or a related discipline, along with relevant experience
  • More than five years of business intelligence experience using the Microsoft BI stack
  • Expertise in data modeling, SSRS, SSAS, tabular models or cubes, SQL Server 2016–2023, PowerPivot, PowerView, and advanced SQL scripting
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, C#, or PowerShell
  • Experience managing or leading large BI projects or processes with limited supervision
  • Experience coaching, reviewing, and assigning work to junior BI professionals
  • Experience with data warehousing and BI platforms including Amazon QuickSight, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Power BI
  • Experience reporting KPIs and other performance measures
  • Experience producing SSRS reports from relational, dimensional, or OLAP cube data sources
  • Experience upgrading business intelligence solutions for current Microsoft product releases
  • Experience administering, upgrading, and migrating Visual Studio 2022 or later and TFS
  • Ability to convert business requirements into effective BI solutions
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and experience building web forms with .NET
  • Knowledge of SQL Server performance tuning, optimization, and security
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle difficult, complex problems under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Eligibility to work in Canada
