Senior Business Intelligence Engineer - Los Angeles Onsite

Analyze auction campaigns, advertiser performance, and product data within Snap’s Snapchat technology ecosystem. Build dashboards and deliver actionable insights that support business decisions.

Description

  • Analyze business challenges and combine data from multiple sources to support leadership decision-making
  • Identify performance trends across auction campaigns and promote best practices within the account management group
  • Deliver analysis, insights, reports, and actionable recommendations that support client and business outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop measurement agendas and strategies
  • Provide data-driven insights for alpha and beta products and give feedback on data tools under development
  • Translate complex analytical concepts for broader audiences and shape decisions through data storytelling
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to improve advertiser performance and support product development
  • Identify revenue-impacting initiatives, define their scope and objectives, and recommend courses of action
  • Partner with Account Management on real-time auction campaign analysis and use data-driven upsell recommendations to influence incremental spend
  • Analyze industry trends by vertical or category to inform Snap’s in-market pitch

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, economics, mathematics, or an equivalent field is preferred
  • At least five years of experience in quantitative analysis and research
  • Proficiency with SQL and Python or R for analysis and data visualization
  • A data-driven, analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to perform effectively in an agile, fast-changing environment
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as a collaborative team member
  • Ability to understand business problems and design implementable, efficient, and scalable data-driven technical solutions
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and generating actionable insights
  • Ability to interpret complex data signals and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
