Senior Blockchain Engineer – Turkey Remote

Build secure blockchain, wallet, and custody infrastructure for Midas, a Turkish investing fintech serving 4 million users. Own systems that support real-money transactions across on-chain and off-chain environments.

Description

  • Design and operate scalable, secure blockchain infrastructure for real users and real-money transactions.
  • Own the complete blockchain transaction lifecycle, from initiation and signing through execution, confirmation, reconciliation, and recovery.
  • Build and enhance wallet, custody, key-management, and transaction systems spanning on-chain and off-chain environments.
  • Create integrations across blockchain networks with differing architectures, consensus mechanisms, and transaction models.
  • Develop and integrate smart contracts, including those deployed in EVM-compatible ecosystems.
  • Deliver production-ready DeFi capabilities such as staking, liquidity pools, DEX integrations, and other on-chain financial workflows.
  • Manage complex blockchain systems end to end, covering security, resilience, observability, incident response, and operational excellence.
  • Set architectural direction across security, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and engineering velocity.
  • Assess technical risks and design systems that remain secure and recoverable during failures.
  • Partner with product, business, security, and engineering teams to turn ambiguous needs into durable technical solutions.
  • Facilitate technical discussions, design reviews, and architecture decisions.
  • Support engineers through technical mentoring, code reviews, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
  • Use modern engineering tools, including AI-assisted development, while upholding rigorous standards for code quality and security.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated software engineering experience designing and operating complex production systems.
  • Extensive practical experience building and running production-grade blockchain infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of blockchain architecture across ecosystems, including consensus mechanisms, transaction models, finality, reorganizations, fees, and network-specific behavior.
  • Experience working across multiple blockchain networks and protocol models rather than within only one ecosystem or virtual machine.
  • Thorough understanding of wallet architecture, custody models, key management, transaction signing, and blockchain transaction lifecycles.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware security modules and secure key-management infrastructure.
  • Experience with MPC custody systems or platforms such as Fireblocks is a significant advantage.
  • Strong grasp of cryptographic signing workflows, key protection, access controls, and production security boundaries.
  • Experience developing, deploying, and operating smart contracts; Solidity expertise is a significant advantage.
  • Experience with DeFi protocols or use cases including staking, liquidity pools, DEXs, or comparable on-chain financial systems.
  • Strong understanding of on-chain and off-chain architectures, including their respective trade-offs.
  • Solid knowledge of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, idempotency, failure recovery, and data consistency.
  • Experience operating critical production systems with monitoring, alerting, observability, incident response, and post-incident improvement processes.
  • Ability to make well-reasoned architectural decisions and evaluate trade-offs involving security, scalability, reliability, operational complexity, and delivery speed.
  • Ability to independently solve ambiguous problems and take them from initial concept to production.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, and responsibility for production results.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to influence technical decisions across teams.
  • Willingness to mentor engineers and raise the team’s technical standards.
  • Ability to use AI-assisted development tools effectively while applying sound engineering judgment and security practices.
