Remote Regional Business Director, Rare Disease Sales

Description

  • Drive the region toward its goals and objectives.
  • Align with commercial leadership and organizational priorities as a member of the sales leadership team.
  • Hire, lead, coach, and develop Rare Disease Specialists across the region.
  • Set strategic direction for Rare Disease Specialists.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key regional customers.
  • Lead the regional business plan and oversee departmental budget activities.
  • Advance the brand plan and company strategies.
  • Work with commercial and project management teams to support effective product promotion.
  • Foster a team culture centered on commitment to patients.
  • Share knowledge and best practices across functions.
  • Manage the region’s P&L.
  • Apply knowledge of the market, disease area, products, and competitors.
  • Model company values and motivate colleagues and direct reports.
  • Uphold integrity and comply with applicable regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10 years of biotech or pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Leadership experience in biotech or pharmaceutical sales; rare disease, specialty pharmaceuticals, or other complex sales cycles are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with academic or teaching institutions is strongly preferred.
  • Record of high performance, such as top 10% results, national awards, or President’s Club recognition.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with key opinion leaders.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively; proximity to a major airport is ideal.
  • Product launch experience and experience in a small startup commercial organization are advantages.
