Remote Insurance Compliance Analyst (Oregon)

Support insurance product compliance at The Standard through regulatory research, Department of Insurance filings, and implementation of approved forms. Collaborate with underwriting, claims, marketing, technology, and other business teams.

Description

  • Prepare, review, and submit product and policy form filings to state Departments of Insurance
  • Research applicable insurance laws and regulations
  • Draft responses to regulatory objections and inquiries
  • Work with internal partners to embed compliance requirements in products, forms, and processes
  • Help implement approved product and form updates across the organization
  • Contribute to compliance programs, policies, procedures, training, and risk management efforts
  • Coordinate with underwriting, claims, marketing, technology, business teams, and regulatory agencies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, law, finance, risk management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • At least three years of experience in insurance compliance, insurance regulatory affairs, or a related insurance function
  • Strong understanding of individual or group insurance products, preferably including Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Disability, or Life insurance
  • Preferred experience preparing and submitting Department of Insurance product and form filings
  • Preferred experience researching and interpreting state insurance regulations and related requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication abilities
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional business partners
  • Preferred experience supporting product implementation, regulatory change management, or compliance risk programs
  • Successful completion of criminal background, employment, education, and licensing verification
  • Must be bondable
