Remote Financial Analyst at General Dynamics Information Technology
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a remote Financial Analyst in the United States to support financial modeling, reporting, variance analysis, and program-level insights.
Description
- Gather, review, reconcile, and verify financial information from multiple sources
- Handle budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and financial analysis for assigned programs
- Build, maintain, and revise financial models, spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools
- Evaluate financial performance, track variances, identify trends, and advise management on actions
- Reconcile transactions and resolve inconsistencies in financial data
- Create project records and oversee project setup through each stage of the lifecycle
- Keep records and documentation aligned with internal controls, contract obligations, and government regulations
- Review direct and indirect costs for allowability and timely processing
- Assess financial risks and opportunities while supporting mitigation and recovery plans
- Contribute to monthly reporting with sales and earnings variance explanations
- Prepare customer materials such as invoice support packages and Limitation of Funds notices
- Assist with cost proposal reviews, contract changes, and special projects
- Use AI tools to support data review, financial modeling, variance analysis, and productivity
- Coordinate with program teams to manage, track, monitor, and report financial information
Requirements
- At least two years of relevant financial analysis experience
- A bachelor's degree is not required; four or more additional years of related experience may substitute
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions
- Working knowledge of financial platforms such as Oracle EBS, Oracle Hyperion, or comparable systems
- Strong analytical ability, with the capacity to interpret complex financial data and explain findings to financial and non-financial audiences
- Careful attention to detail and strong organizational ability
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative, proactive, and solution-focused approach
- Must be a U.S. Person
- Knowledge of government contract cost structures and the Federal Acquisition Regulations is preferred but not required
- Experience with Oracle EBS, Oracle Hyperion, and related reporting tools is preferred but not required
