Remote Credit Control Specialist — South Africa

Description

  • Follow up overdue invoices by email and phone with a professional, firm approach.
  • Set payment plans and record each commitment to pay.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve issues with sales and finance teams.
  • Refresh the ageing report each week and highlight high-risk accounts.
  • Apply incoming payments accurately in the accounting system.
  • Manage overdue collections to support the client’s cash flow.

Requirements

  • Bring credit control or collections experience, with examples of reducing overdue balances.
  • Be familiar with Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
  • Communicate confidently and courteously by phone and email.
  • Have a reliable laptop, stable fibre internet, and a quiet workspace.
  • Be available from 09:00 to 17:00 UK time (11:00 to 19:00 SAST).
  • Experience with UK VAT and payment terms is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Dext or GoCardless is an advantage.
  • Have experience preparing ageing reports in Excel; this is an advantage.
