Regional Sales Manager, Northern California

Lead Northern California sales, distributor partnerships, and field-team development while growing a premium wine portfolio for Treasury Wine Estates.

Description

  • Lead and develop a team of sales professionals
  • Achieve sales, distribution, depletion, and market-share targets across Northern California
  • Build strong relationships with distributor leaders, distributor sales teams, and priority trade accounts
  • Create and implement market plans centered on the highest-impact opportunities
  • Improve distributor performance across distribution, pricing, promotions, and execution standards
  • Plan and lead market activations, wine dinners, training sessions, and customer events
  • Evaluate sales results, market trends, and competitor activity
  • Spot growth opportunities and propose targeted action plans
  • Oversee key distributor and customer relationships
  • Execute sales strategy for a premium wine portfolio

Requirements

  • At least five years of sales leadership experience in wine, beverage alcohol, or consumer packaged goods
  • Experience leading, coaching, and motivating a field sales team
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. three-tier system and distributor management
  • Ability to earn trust and influence distributor partners, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to apply data and market insights to identify opportunities and grow the business
  • Strong commercial judgment
  • Confident communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout Northern California
