Production Control Engineer I (Onsite)

Support Rochester Sensors’ manufacturing operations through production planning, ERP coordination, supply chain communication, and on-time delivery improvement.

Description

  • Support Manufacturing and Operations projects through documentation and reporting
  • Coordinate organizational efforts to meet customer expectations and maintain D365 system integrity
  • Manage end-to-end supply chain communication
  • Interpret demand requirements and develop supply chain plans
  • Communicate production completion schedules
  • Resolve material and ERP issues to meet customer delivery requirements
  • Maintain accurate ERP schedules, kanban quantities, and material availability
  • Prepare production schedules for industrial and commercial products
  • Build master schedules that align operation sequences and lead times with forecasted or customer-requested shipping dates
  • Evaluate production specifications and plant capacity data
  • Determine manufacturing process, tooling, and workforce requirements
  • Lead meetings addressing issues that could affect Manufacturing
  • Track meeting minutes and follow up on assigned action items
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding project status
  • Expedite delayed operations and revise schedules when unforeseen conditions arise
  • Create programs and objectives that improve on-time delivery
  • Write operating procedures
  • Develop and carry out project schedules
  • Complete other assigned duties as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; Industrial Engineering preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and planning skills
  • At least one year of experience in operations management, production planning, and ERP software preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX, Dynamics 365, or a comparable ERP platform preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments through completion with minimal supervision
  • Must be located in the Dallas–Fort Worth area
  • Ability to walk for extended periods and frequently bend, climb, rotate, squat, reach, kneel, or stoop
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work with regular exposure to heat and cold, heights, gases, vibration, dust, chemicals, odors, dampness, fumes, and noise
