Product Analytics Intern – The Cigna Group (Hybrid)

Support product analytics at The Cigna Group by analyzing healthcare data, medical spending, and utilization trends. Build dashboards and deliver insights that inform product performance, population health, and cost-management decisions.

Description

  • Build knowledge of healthcare trends and integrated data analytics
  • Research topics and communicate findings through presentations
  • Prepare, analyze, and report on data
  • Take ownership of two to three significant projects
  • Partner with colleagues across functions to advance product analytics work
  • Examine healthcare service utilization among populations with specific conditions
  • Create dashboards that give internal stakeholders actionable strategic insight
  • Investigate emerging subjects to inform ideation and brainstorming
  • Use statistical methods to identify medical-spending drivers and propose ways to reduce costs
  • Combine medical, pharmacy, and laboratory data to support population health, assess product performance, and demonstrate value to clients

Requirements

  • Be a rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred academic backgrounds include biomedical informatics, health information, business, analytics, public health, or a related discipline
  • Previous database experience is preferred
  • Demonstrate proficiency with SQL and Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Apply careful attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
  • Bring strong business judgment and problem-solving ability
  • Work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • Show initiative and enthusiasm for learning new skills
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship, including H-1B, CPT/OPT, or STEM support
  • Commit to 40 hours per week for 10 weeks starting May 24, 2027, Monday through Friday
  • For remote work, have cable broadband or fiber-optic internet providing at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speeds
