Process Safety Engineer – Peterborough Hybrid

Description
- Lead process safety risk management across water supply operations.
- Provide technical guidance on hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures.
- Use barrier-based risk analysis to evaluate and manage hazards.
- Support incident investigations and apply lessons learned.
- Improve process safety systems and performance through continuous improvement.
- Provide assurance and maintain compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Work across teams to strengthen a proactive process safety culture.
- Influence decisions, develop best practices, reduce risk, improve asset resilience, and support the safe delivery of essential water services.
Requirements
- Experience in process safety, engineering, or risk management, or a background working with toxic gases and chemicals such as chlorine and ozone.
- Experience working in high-hazard industries.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing abilities.
- Working knowledge of barrier-based risk analysis and its practical application.
- Willingness and ability to travel to sites across the Anglian Water region.
- Commitment to improving process safety, resilience, and operational excellence.
