Principal Integration Architect - Remote, United States

Guild Mortgage is seeking a Principal Integration Architect to guide enterprise integration strategy, APIs, governance, and platform architecture. The role advises executives and technical leaders on scalable integration solutions within mortgage banking.

Description

  • Set the enterprise integration strategy, standards, and frameworks
  • Lead governance councils and establish policies for interoperability, data protection, and platform adoption
  • Oversee the integration ecosystem, including iPaaS, APIs, and messaging platforms
  • Monitor emerging approaches such as event-driven and AI-enabled integration
  • Work with senior executives to connect integration priorities with growth and digital transformation goals
  • Promote integration excellence across engineering and technology teams
  • Develop strategic models, roadmaps, and presentations for executive audiences
  • Direct integration strategy across enterprise systems and business domains
  • Establish the API and data interoperability vision in accordance with compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Guide vendor evaluations and organization-wide adoption of integration platforms
  • Lead change management and readiness activities
  • Define KPIs that track integration performance and business impact
  • Develop and maintain integration architecture models and design assets
  • Collaborate with IT leaders on application architecture, security, and quality
  • Provide architectural guidance on development tools and coding practices
  • Evaluate technology options and contribute to proof-of-concept initiatives
  • Translate complex project needs into practical technical plans
  • Deliver architecture and operational recommendations to senior management
  • Support planning, documentation, training content, job aids, and deployment activities
  • Share technical expertise across the team
  • Complete additional assigned responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree related to the position or equivalent experience preferred
  • At least seven years of experience in integration strategy, architecture, or development, along with progressive leadership experience
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise integration strategy, frameworks, and governance models
  • Advanced experience designing integration ecosystems across hybrid and multicloud environments
  • Experience with APIs, data exchange, security, iPaaS, messaging, event-driven architecture, and AI-enabled integration
  • Experience addressing enterprise-scale integration needs, negotiating with vendors, and selecting strategic platforms
  • Ability to influence strategy at the executive level
  • Experience across varied programming and integration technologies
  • Experience managing interoperability across structured, semistructured, and unstructured data
  • Strong governance orientation and process discipline
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, wikis, collaborative cloud tools, and third-party applications
  • Alignment with company values
  • Ability to work independently, stay focused, and make timely decisions
  • Availability Monday through Friday during the business week
  • Willingness to travel 5–10%
