- Define engineering and design solutions, and oversee their governance.
- Create complex software, scripts, and tools for bank platforms, applications, and services.
- Serve as a contact for solution design questions.
- Develop architecture models and roadmaps for application and software components.
- Promote consistent usability across products and domains.
- Design, write, test, and implement working code.
- Use Agile practices and DevOps techniques in software development.
Requirements
- Substantial experience in software engineering, software or database design, and architecture.
- Experience building software in Agile and DevOps environments.
- Expert knowledge of current market trends, technologies, and tools.
- Proven experience applying programming best practices, particularly for scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability, and performance.
- Strong Python skills or experience in Java back-end engineering.
- Experience with generative and agentic AI using AWS services.
- Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and vector databases.
- Experience configuring and tuning long-term and short-term agent memory.
- Experience with context management and response-suppression techniques.
- Experience implementing and enforcing AI guardrails.
- Experience designing and implementing tool calling.
- Experience with agent logging, monitoring, and auditability.
