Pool Designer - Florida (Remote)

Design swimming pools, spas, and water features remotely while coordinating AutoCAD documentation, hydraulics, permitting, consultants, and drafting teams.

Description

  • Oversee pool, spa, water feature, and aquatic design projects through permitting and construction coordination
  • Produce and review detailed AutoCAD drawings, plumbing plans, hydraulic systems, and related construction details
  • Coordinate architectural, structural, civil, landscape, and MEP drawings to identify and resolve conflicts
  • Prepare and assess plumbing, hydraulic, and equipment layouts for constructibility and reliable system performance
  • Apply relevant zoning rules, building codes, pool codes, and construction standards to project designs
  • Conduct coordination meetings with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and internal teams
  • Verify drawings for accuracy, constructibility, code compliance, and alignment with company standards before issuance
  • Guide and mentor drafters while upholding CAD and Revit standards, templates, and drafting practices, with potential for expanded management responsibilities
  • Direct project schedules, drafting workloads, priorities, and resource assignments to protect deadlines and quality

Requirements

  • Advanced AutoCAD experience and a strong command of construction drawing standards
  • Professional experience designing swimming pools, spas, water features, or comparable aquatic systems
  • Revit experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of concrete construction, reinforcing steel detailing, and construction documentation
  • Experience with pool hydraulics, plumbing, equipment layouts, and associated aquatic systems
  • Ability to interpret and coordinate architectural, structural, civil, landscape, and MEP drawings
  • Working knowledge of zoning rules, building codes, pool codes, and permitting requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently with limited training and supervision
  • Strong client communication skills and confidence leading design and coordination meetings
  • Exceptional attention to detail when evaluating drawing quality, accuracy, and constructibility
  • Leadership and team-building experience, including mentoring staff and supporting design-team growth
  • Reliable and organized, with the accountability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
