Operations Supervisor, Plasma Center - Grifols, Jacksonville, FL

Lead donor flow, plasma collection, and manufacturing compliance at Grifols’ Jacksonville plasma center. Support safe, accurate, high-quality operations while supervising staff and maintaining regulatory standards.

Description

  • Perform a range of operational duties throughout the plasma center
  • Carry out production responsibilities while overseeing donor flow
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, FDA-approved SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and company procedures
  • Oversee donor selection, plasma collection, and manufacturing records
  • Participate in required training and staff meetings
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation
  • Help keep the facility clean and organized and ensure equipment remains operational
  • Provide timely, accurate reports to the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager
  • Support the management and control of center donor funds
  • Train new employees and provide refresher training to existing staff
  • Coordinate with other service areas to maintain documentation accuracy and quality
  • Develop positive donor relationships and support satisfaction and continued donation
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or situations
  • Complete training to repair plasma center equipment when required
  • Support the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager with duties that advance company objectives

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certification as a Phlebotomist, Donor Processor, Plasma Processor, and Designated Trainer
  • Typically four years of related experience in phlebotomy, donor processing, and plasma processing
  • Proven ability to manage challenging situations effectively
  • Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and temperatures below 32°F
  • Ability to stand for 4 to 6 hours daily and sit for 1 to 2 hours daily
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, crouch, reach below shoulder height, and perform frequent hand and foot movements
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds, with a maximum lift of 50 pounds
  • Essential hearing acuity
  • Correctable near- and far-vision and color perception/discrimination
  • Ability to communicate and comprehend spoken information and ideas
  • Ability to work independently and follow verbal or written instructions
  • Ability to perform varied duties in changing conditions
  • Ability to communicate sensitive information to diverse groups
